[Game Jam 2017] The Starling's Letter tech demo

It's 4 in the morning... sigh.

Anyway! After an entire month's worth of hard work, plus some frustration and maybe some miscellaneous screaming, The Spanish Inquisition's project for Renderwing Game Jam 2017 is finally more or less ready for the public to enjoy.

Behold, the combined efforts of worldsbetween , MitsukoOtsuki , and myself (Quasi-Harkness )! Well, more or less. We only had the time to come up with a tech demo, sorry about that. We hope you enjoy it nonetheless!

A brief summary of this game:

A great war. A small, dying town. A man with a grim, shadowed past.

Antonio, veteran of a recent regional war, reluctantly returns to his hometown after receiving a strange letter. Having left the town seven years prior, he struggles to recognise the crumbling community it has become in his absence. Everywhere he goes is a reminder of the carefree life he lost, memories of a past he constantly runs from. He wishes to find closure with what he'd done, the people he left behind-- except there's one problem.

He doesn't want to. Not with all the guilt. Not while he still sees the blood on his hands.

Will he overcome his fear of times past, or will he remain trapped by his sins?

As usual, inform us of any bugs within the demo, so that we can squash them out of existence in future updates. Which will come eventually, I swear. This game does not come with RTP, so do make sure you have the RPG Maker VX Ace RTP installed before playing. A link to download it will be provided below, along with the game download itself. Do bear in mind that this is only a tech demo; the contents and various details of the game are subject to change in future updates.
